This calendar book was created to acknowledge the force and power behind African American liberation. We pray that readers learn to cherish the gifts of time, freedom and life that our ancestors works have allowed us to enjoy.
This book highlights important dates in the fight for freedom, justice and equality which began as early as 1619 with the first slaves up to the 14th Amendment. Generations later, as Americans, We Stand On the Shoulders of Giants, the ones who fought before us, enjoying many social, economic, and political rights. It is through the struggle of our ancestors that we gain our strength. It is through their struggle that we continue to be inspired and through understanding that the war is long, but we, as a people, can win.
